Pushing Daisies in trouble

I have just read this on yahoo about shows in trouble. And one of which included is Pushing Daisies, one of the 2 series I only watch.
The quirky, critically-acclaimed drama "Pushing Daisies," about a pie maker who can revive the dead just can’t seem to catch a break. Its first season was interrupted by the writers’ strike and now its second season’s ratings have been falling weekly (with viewership well below that of last year’s). Sure fans love it and want desperately to save it, but unless all the brouhaha turns into viewers, Ned the pie maker will find himself trying to bring the show back to life.
I hope its viewership gets better so that I have something to watch while I currently do nothing.

Cheap Battery Charger

I will not buy cheap sub-standard china-made electronics anymore. I just bought a battery charger for 195pesos since the other better quality battery chargers are sold at 500pesos-800pesos so I opted for the cheap one. When the clerk tested it, it seems working since all lights are lighted to show that the charger is working. When I got home, I put my rechargeable batteries in the charger and have it charge for four hours. After which I got the batteries and put in our camera and…the batteries are still low and only lasted for 2 pictures taken with flash.

Car Faces

I have a fascination of car faces. You know when you look at a car straight-on and they seem to have faces because of how the headlights and the grill are shaped. Some have happy faces, some have belligerent ones. One car that really caught my attention from my favorite car manufacturer Mazda is the MX-5. See how the face of the current version is different from the 2009 version. The current 2008 version looks stunned while the 2009 version looks elated. Wtf lol

I’m trying to make up another story so here goes.

Ahoho. I’m not really into making up stories for this blog right now so I’ll just create something short.

My friend told me the other day that his/her bestfriend disagrees on a lot of things. (Forgive me; I’ll give a very lame example.) His/her friend likes loud rock music, while he/she like some mellow melodies of the oldies.

My advice for them, leave each other alone if you’re not together at the same time. Don’t go calling your friend up telling your music sucks and mine rocks. That’s a half-bred pit-bull and shit-tzu (bullshit). And if ever you’re together, try compromising. Tell your friend, hey! I know you like loud rock music but can we just make it a little less loud that I think you will still like. Since his/her friend likes loud rock and he/she likes mellow melodies of the oldies. Why not try new wave?

Ahahaha! put@ng!na ang g@g0 ng kwento ko.

My friend called me up again last Saturday and asked for help. My friend told me that he/she always thinks of negative thoughts and asked me if it’s a bad thing. So, being the good person that I am. I went to his/her house and talked to him/her. I told my friend that; yes, thinking negatively can be bad but can be good as well. Heck even thinking positive can be bad. What! Thinking positive can be bad? Well... Thinking positive is actually good but we all know that we can’t achieve all the things we want even though how much positive thinking is put to it. Let’s be realistic. That’s just how life goes. Also, thinking positive and not being able to achieve something can result to more negative thoughts. Back on the topic. Is negative thinking really bad? As I’ve said earlier, yes and no. Yes, because thinking negatively can make you depress and suffer more negative thoughts and sorrows. No, because it can actually help us to determine what we lack and need to improve on. Thinking negatively allows us to plan. Just like in marketing, we determine what problems we face and can face in the future. So, I told my friend. Thinking negatively is not entirely bad it can also be good. We just have to be think intelligently and try to limit our emotions because too much of something can be bad. After which, my friend continued on with his/her life and lived happily and his/her head up high.

WTF Hohoho! Another made-up story. hoho

Casino

I’m not yet 21 years old but I was able play at the Pan Pacific Hotel casino in Manila awhile ago. It’s probably a bad day for us because my mom lost around 6,000pesos and I lost 500pesos. What made it more frustrating for me is that the old lady seating beside me won 100,000pesos. Casino is not fun; unless you’re some rich bastard who has nothing else to spend on. (Although food is free; you can order whatever you want. hoho)

A friend of mine called me yesterday and needed some help and advice on how to meet people and eventually hook up with them. Being the good person that I am, I went to my friend’s house and taught how it’s done. I asked my friend a couple of questions. I observed that my friend got the goods. My friend has a job, is educated, etc. What I noticed is that my friend didn’t believe in his/her self. So, that’s what I told him/her to work on. I asked my friend to list his/her qualities and remember it and be proud of it. After a few days, I noticed development. So for the final exam, we went to a party so my friend can practice the things he/she learned, while I am on a corner watching on a monitor seeing and hearing what’s happening from a hidden camera attached on my friend. First test didn’t go so well; my friend though confident but was too confrontational. Second test also didn’t go well; my friend showed disinterest in the person, and said some words that aren’t supposed to be said when talking to strangers. Third test, I thought it was gonna fail again, but I was surprised, the tables have turned, my friend was able to communicate effectively to a stranger and played ping-pong with the stranger.

So, that’s it. Another problem from a problematic person solved through my training. Till next time.

WTF! LOL. Ok I just made-up the story. But if you read thoroughly, my made-up story had a lesson that will be really helpful. hahaha

Tea

It’s already 4AM. I tried to sleep awhile ago, I just can’t; maybe because I drank so much tea last night. (2 bottled black tea, 1 bottled green tea, and 1 mug brewed green tea.) WTF.

Japanice Food

I was inspired by my gradeschool classmate to try Zaru Soba. So, I went to the supermarket and bought some Tsuyu and Dried Soba Noodles. Yiiheee. After bringing my father to the airport, my mother decided to go to Pan Pacific Hotel to play at the casino while we ate at the Mitsukoshi Café and Restaurant in the lobby. I ate Omu Rice, and my sister ate a Burger Steak with Demiglace sauce. Yiiheee. WTF.

Observation (how asians speak)

One thing I observed about Asians who are not that good in speaking in English is that they always add “Yah!” to their sentences.
Example, Can you bring us to the airport? Yah!
WTF!

Ebooks

Just recently I’ve been downloading audio ebooks and putting them on my ipod and zen mp3 players. Most ebooks I got were self-help/self-improvement books. Currently, I’m listening to Brain Sync – Total Relaxation audio book which is supposed to relax me and remove stress; however, I just don’t feel relaxed, I feel sleepy lol. I think it’s really working or maybe because it’s already 4:30 in the morning. However, when I stop playing it, I don’t feel sleepy anymore lol.

Wakeful

It’s 9 in the morning and I haven’t had sleep yet since yesterday morning. I was trying to sleep at around 2:30am but I just could not sleep. I’m really not sleepy, and when I try to sleep on the bed I sneeze a lot probably because the sheets haven’t been changed more than a month I think. Since, I was not able to sleep; I just searched the internet for some cure for my allergy slash flu slash colds slash post nasal drip slash etcetera. After which I have narrowed my cure options to Lagundi medicine and Pei pa koa. Later, I’ll go to the drugstore to buy these alternative medicines.

Power Locomotion

It’s been a long time I’ve not posted on this blog, and it’s been a few days when I started power walking with my friends at the village park. Every morning we do 20 laps, after which we eat at nearby conveniences stores, usually 7/11. hoho

Yesterday, while walking towards Ministop, I felt something landed on my neck, I removed it and it was a caterpillar. After a few minutes, my neck felt itchy as hell so I immediately bought alcohol at Ministop and started lathering it all over my neck. It didn’t work, it still itches as hell; red spots and bumps started appearing on my neck, and worse my whole body started to itch. So, I went home and immediately took a bath and drank some anti-histamines and anti-allergy tablets. Now, it’s gone. hoho

Okami

Just finished with school literally, I immersed myself on hours of gameplay.
I just had a realization that I bought so many games and then I would actually end up just playing one game out of 15 games I bought in just a month.

I’m currently playing Okami; it’s one of the best games around, excellent graphics but sometimes the color detail is just too much for my eyes. So, I tried Devil May Cry for awhile. In a few minutes, I went back to Okami. Devil May Cry is just too difficult. I can’t even get past mission 2.

EDIT: Just finished the game after 48hours of gameplay. First game I ever finished and one of the best endings I've ever watched.

Brandy Bell. haha

3 people drowned theirselves on 2 bottles of brandy. the one quit at half of the second bottle. My classmate told me I talked too much when I was drunk last wednesday. If my memory serves me right, whilst on the 10 minute tricycle ride home I was talking nonsense of all the things the tricycle pass by. That’s all. haha

Lunch

Just so I have something to write in this spider web forming blog; during my OJT lunch break today, tired of the same Pork Chowfan I’ve been eating for lunch since I started my OJT last January. I’ve decided to embark on something new. From my office which is near GMA, I walked for more than 20 minutes until I reached Jollibee Tomas Morato. I ordered a 2pc burger steak meal and some soup to ease the passing of the food through my esophagus. After eating I decided to take public transport back to my office because it will be difficult for me to walk for another 20 minutes or more on a full stomach. I mistakenly got in the wrong jeep for my first try so I had to get off and ask some people what jeep to ride to get to EDSA. After which I got in the right jeep and went back to my office. After office, I bought an umbrella, because I just felt my skin ablaze while walking around Tomas Morato at noon.

Undecided

I could’ve posted a lot of entries here however I decided not to.
I actually thought of making all my posts in Filipino so that it will be easier for me to write. Though I’m still in beginning of the decision making process.

Blank

I got nothing to post. I would've like to post my daily adventures and show my interesting discoveries however it just doesn’t happen. I don’t want to post stuff describing a place or an establishment etc because I don’t want to act like some tourist guide etc. like other bloggers do. I also don’t want to post news like other bloggers do, because this is a personal blog, not some online news website. I hope something interesting happens tomorrow or the coming days so that I can post something.

Openings

We have 3 openings up and 2 down there; how does that phrase relate to my post? I dunno.
7-Eleven opened last week near my house, and I’ve been drinking two 22oz of Slurpee everyday since it opened. But I stopped already. Neo Chinatown Mall also opened last week. Neo Chinatown mall is a Chinese themed mall located a stone’s throw away from SM Mall of Asia though they are separated by a body of water.

OJT 2

Today’s the first day of my On-the-job Training at the Filipino Society of Composers, Artists, and Publishers Incorporated in Kamuning, Quezon City. Unlike my first day experience in ABS-CBN, I actually liked my first day at FILSCAP, though I did a lot of work for my first day, namely photocopying, sorting, computing of monthly I dunnos hoho, checking I dunnos hoho etc. In addition, their office is very nice.

Before I went to FILSCAP, I ate lunch at Chowking Timog. Its 2nd floor is unoccupied.

A Boring Post

I wents to the mall to gets something to eat. I ordered a chicken fillet in gravy soup hoho from Mr. Ronald Mcdonald who is very happy I visited him.

Sawadee Poern. Thank you for eating, please come again, said Mr. Mcdonald.

After which, I ate a donut and drank iced coffee at Dunkin Donut.

Then I went home.

And it’s already 1AM. I now look like this

Next time I'll try to make a more meaningful blog entry.

Some good news and weirdness

I finally got the grade for my Physical Education 1 subject I have been waiting for months. I cannot graduate if I fail even just P.E.. I don’t have anymore problems concerning my graduation I just need to pass my remaining subjects. Now I can smack the shit out of those… hoho.

Seems like a feature packed cellphone is not for me. My phone got features I don’t even use. However, these past few days I have been doing something with my phone that is probably weird but very fulfilling hoho. I’ve been typing prayers on my phone and saving them as drafts then I view and read them. Whenever, I need something I type an impromptu prayer in my cellphone save it then read it. Though my prayers seem like they are demand letters asking too many stuff. The last time I did this was this morning when I was about to get my grade in PE1. hoho. Try it whenever you can’t do something with your phone because you ain’t got many friends who text you; and all you do is check your account balance to make it seem you use your phone.

Black and White camera phone pictures

I took pictures using my Sony Ericsson K800i phone; a macro shot of a Mickey Mouse plant, an orchid, and Namacpacan church in La Union. I didn’t know I could get such beautiful pictures (seen below) using a camera phone and a little editing with Irfanview.

I lied, I don't think the pictures are beautiful. hoho

Bangar & Baguio

Before 2007 ended we went to our province to experience how fiesta is celebrated there. I was the last one to pack my bag before we left Manila because I had thoughts of not joining the trip. We stayed in our old house in Bangar, La Union where we slept on the floor made of bamboo. The night before we left La Union, we watched Jose, Wally, and Sugar perform in the town hall. After which we prepare to go to Baguio because it has been a long time I have not been there, and is the primary reason I joined the trip.

Baguio is not as cold as it used to be though still cold early morning and evening. We stayed at our aunt’s house; again I slept on the floor because there are not enough beds for all of us. All we did in Baguio was walk, shop, eat, and take pictures. We left Baguio and took beautiful and interesting photos on the way home with my crappy digicam. What we did in Baguio was tiring but fun. Baguio is very crowded especially in Session Road and polluted but still beautiful.

Did I say I shopped in Baguio? hoho, I was lying.
